Why Proficiency Matters

Brightbeam has partnered with ExcelinEd to create a data tool exposing the tremendous gaps in proficiency levels between Black, Latino and Native American students and their white peers. After generations of economic and social policy that has discriminated against people of color, access to an education that meets the needs of these students is still largely unequal.
